Frankenstein ~ The Living Monster!

"I was intrigued by the idea of "What if the Frankenstein Monster were real?" If you stripped away the fantasy bits of the story (namely resurrecting a dead corpse) and focused on the real and possible grafting of limbs to a living subject... What if there was this soul-less surgeon operating out of a basement surgical lab (sometime in the past)... and he was trying to become the first surgeon to perfect the technique of grafting limbs and internal organs to a live subject. Cruel and unnecessary surgery upon a hap-less victim, possibly a homeless individual, or condemned man.

So I envisioned this man who would have mis-matched limbs, his torso covered in many, surgical procedures (brain surgery, torso procedures, etc). All of the wounds would be in various stages of healing as this would have been going on and on for a long time. Strapped to a table. Little , to no anesthetic. Perfectly good limbs being removed for the doctor to practice grafting an odd limb on. A poor, tortured soul... a sympathetic "creature".

Yeah... a little bit sick, but an intriguing twist! So I give you... "The Living Monster".... " -ADAM

This sculpt/kit presented me with the challenge that there were going to be several small pieces, including the saw blade that would be best cast in tin metal. So, I had to stop and teach myself molding and casting for tin in order to successfully produce this kit.

It was a lot of work at first. And I made sure to wear all the proper clothing and protection for pouring hot metal (leather apron, leather sleeves, leather gloves, safety glasses, and a full face welder mask. You don't don't want to badly burn yourself while having fun.

All-in-all, I'm very happy with the quality of this kit and how it finally turned out assembled.
